News from the Wroclaw Meeting Centres

• “Let’s love”

Cabaret event performed by external group of seniors for members of Meeting Center. All together were singing famous old love songs, dancing and eating self-made colorful cakes.

• World Youth Day 2016 in Wrocław

International youth was visiting Meeting Center. Young pilgrims were eating meals together with seniors, presenting them cultural events and typical habits. All together were involved in art therapy classes where nice gifts were done.

• Picnic in Szczytnicki Park

Wonderful all day outdoor event with many attractions for seniors: Nordic Walking classes, sport competition, open-air painting, Tibetan music concert- relaxation and memorable lunch directly … on the green grass!

• Visiting Omikami

A trip to the second Meeting Center in Wrocław lead by Omikami Foundation: integration with other group of Seniors, a visit in monastery and church, lunch in antique interiors. During the day all seniors were also singing and playing funny games together.

• An anniversary of the first Meeting Center in Wrocław

Celebration of the first anniversary of the first MC in Wrocław was done for all members, families and many other external guests and media. We were presenting an annual summary of events and first trial results. “Dancing in the rain” was performed by senior dancing group. We were also watching the first presentation of short version of Meeting Center film.

• The Hat March

Members of meeting Center were participing in famous Wroclaw’s fall event in the Market Square for seniors wearing hats. All wonderful costumes and hats were self-created and decorated in art therapy classes. During the march the Guinness Record in the number of people wearing hats at the same time and place was broken.

• “Senioriada”

A sport competition event organized by Meeting Center for other senior’s groups with special awards for all guests. It was an ideal occasion for recreation and integration full of positive emotions!

• “How to create MC”

An all day workshop for people and organizations interested in creation of MC; presentation of main ideas of Amsterdam’s model, an exchange of experiences and plans, discussion panel with Meeting enter members …and finally a great dinner in glamorous restaurant for all participations.
