Work Packages & deliverables

The work plan of this project is divided into seven work packages:

WP1: Project management
This work package involves timely implementation of the consortium in accordance with the consortium agreement and a successful meeting of all aims. Also it creates a collaborative working platform for use in all work packages.

WP Leader: VU University Medical Center, The Netherlands

WP2: Exploration, mapping and recruitment of organizations
The objective of this work package is to form a national project team within each participating country (except for the Netherlands) consisting of the academic partner and other partner research organization(s), a care organization and a welfare organization. Besides, commitment and support of the national or regional Alzheimer association is received. Moreover, in this work package an initiative group will be formed, consisting of representatives of care and welfare organizations providing dementia care in each country, in at least one region. This initiative group will provide the information needed in WP3, 4 and 5.

WP Leader: Wroclaw Medical University, Poland

WP3: Identification of conditions for implementation of MCSP in participating countries

Based on the results of a Dutch implementation study a checklist on foreseen facilitators and barriers will be composed and subsequently completed by the participants of the initiative groups in each country. Proposed adaptations, if needed, and implementation strategies will be described for each country/participating region.

WP Leader: University of Bologna, Italy

WP4: Preparation of implementation strategies and materials
In this work package an implementation plan per country will be prepared. This plan explains the implementation strategies chosen based on expected facilitators and barriers. Already existing Dutch implementation strategies and materials will be used and adapted, if necessary.

WP Leader: VU University Medical Center, The Netherlands

WP5: Implementation of MCSP
This work package provides an implementation training (‘train the trainer’) for representatives of care and welfare organizations in the participating countries. Also, the MCSP will be adaptively implemented in at least one region of each of the participating countries.

WP Leader: University of Bologna, Italy

WP6: Evaluation of implementation
This work package comprises the evaluation of the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of the implementation, the evaluation of the satisfaction of people with dementia and carers and the evaluation of the implementation process of the new implemented MCSP.

WP Leader: University of Worcester, United Kingdom

WP7: Dissemination of project results
The results on implementation of the MCSP within the participating countries,  in Europe, and worldwide will be disseminated in this work package. Close relations with all work packages will need to be established to ensure that important developments and results are communicated to a wider audience. Another aim of this work pack is to keep track of countries and organizations that are interested in implementation of the MCSP in their own country.
